Before founding Branding Made Simple, Ayaz led high-profile campaigns for organizations such as the World Food Programme. Notably, during the emergency response to Typhoon Rai, Ayaz spearheaded efforts raising 500,000 emergency meals and increased the WFP Philippines' social media outputs by 436%.

Ayaz’s experience also includes producing the 2024 Insight series in collaboration with the Defence and Security Foresight Group, which brought together leading academics and policy practitioners in Canada to examine state failures in the MENA region. Complementing this was the Afghan Voices Matter initiative produced by the International Studies Association, which highlighted critical perspectives from Afghan experts following the American exit and Taliban takeover.

In addition to his decade of experience in the visual arts, in the realm of Canadian politics, Ayaz provided consultancy services as part of government relations agencies , participating in key lobby days at the Ontario Legislature and working with notable clients such as McDonald's Canada.
